HD Theater will not see a file server
I have a few of machines on my LAN, two of them store media. These machines are PCs running Linux using Samba to share the files. When I go to add a new import directory the HD Theater can see one of these machines and I can browse into it (after entering the user name and password) and play media from it. However, the second machine does not appear in the browser so I cannot reach it from HD Theater. Is there a way to enter the name of the machine directly (or even the IP address) to bypass this problem?
I have already tried updating the firmware to the latest release version and when that didn't change anything I updated to the latest beta version, again without any change. |
