HD 200 USB drives problem
I'm using my hd200 as a sagetv extender, and when i try to use a usb device it says "invalid directory". I've got the lastest beta firmware. I've heard of people having this problem in standalone mode but not in extender mode.

anyone have any ideas? i'm pretty sure its something simple since it can "see" the drive, it just cant read the contents. Also it works fine in standalone mode, but i never use that.

What is your drive? What filesystem is it? Are you using the back port? If the beta doesn't work try the released firmware

If you using the beta, submit a bug report.

Still Not Working
I never did get this working. I've used various thumb drives and memory cards using fat32 and NTFS and I always get "Invalid Directory". This hasn't been a priority until now, and I figured an update would eventually take care of it but im using v6.5.17.6. on the server and my HD200 has beta 20090616 0. I've tried everything in between too. Am I missing something? I have fileserver and everything else turned on. In standalone mode it accesses the drives no problem, just not in extender mode. Sounds like no one else is having any problems so I don't know......

Try in stand alone mode to see if you have the same problem.

I'll try it on my system when I get home. I know if you put a usb drive on the server, then a box MAY pop up on the extender asking if you want to view the files but never tried to put a usb on the extender. The box will pop up if you have pop up if found new drive (don't remember exactly, and don't know if in the standard STV but I know it's in the SAGEMC addon).

Yeah, the dialog box will pop up saying that its found the device and stating its size. It gives you the option to play or copy media from the device or copy something to it. Selecting any of them opens it up where it says "Invalid Directory"

Ok I got the STV and software versions confused, but i'm all up to date now. Is there no way to access a usb device attatched to the extender then until 6.6 is ready?
