DVD ripping problems
I'm starting to move my movie collection over to my 1TB drives. I've been using dvd shrink with 'no compression' so far to get my movies onto the drives as video folders and it's been working really well for my older movies. I ran into a problem with Terminator (1) where it freezes 1 minute and 43 seconds into the movie. It doesn't freeze when I play the movie in my DVD player so I know there isn't a scratch on the disc.
I wanted to give DVDFab a try (because I can't get Terminator to work and it's really pissing me off), but the only options I see take the movie and save it on the HDD as an ISO. I don't want it in ISO format, I want to save it in video folder format. What settings are you guys changing to use DVDFab to save movies as video_ts folders instead of ISO files??? |

you should be able to change your target location to a hard drive folder when doing a full disc backup and it will create the folder structure and vob files.
I've found that DVD Fab does a better job of defeating the decryption on newer discs, but I tend to prefer DVD Shrink when i'm reducing the file size of movies. -Striker- |

Not sure about DVDFab, I use AnyDVD/DVDShrink combo. If DVDFab won’t allow you to do the folders and this is the only movie you’re having problems with I would burn to ISO and mount with daemon or something and then use DVD shrink to get the folders from the mounted ISO. A couple of steps but like I said if this is the only one giving you problems it could help your situation…

Striker was right, you can just choose a folder instead of clicking on the ISO button. It worked perfectly with DVDFab
