MPEG Mode and Deinterlacing Settings

Can anybody explain the what the MPEG Modes actually are and how to set them in conjunction with the Deinterlacing settings?

The MPEG Mode is a way to help force DXVA. I've still yet to find a case where anything but Default make a real difference.

For Deinterlacing, that'll change the hardware deinterlacing mode if you're using that. You'd need to have a video card and video decoder filter that supports DXVA for that.

What video decoder filter are you using?

I think I'm using the Intervideo filter supplied with the Hauppauge PVR 250. I also have the filters from Sonic Cineplayer 1.5 installed.
