Troubleshooting Tools
It seems to me that one thing SageTV doesn't have is troubleshooting tools. It seems to me that the same symptoms can be caused by many things. Here's what I'd like to see:
A variety of downloadable test video files in various formats and resolutions. These could be just a minute or two each and ideally SageTV would know to autorepeat them while troubleshooting. Under the Help menu, A way to turn error logging off and on. A way to send the error logging file and config info to SageTV to request support or report bugs (or connect it to an existing support request). An online hyperlinked Troubleshooting manual with the collected (and correct) wisdom of the SageTV support staff.
