Add categories???

I'm quite certain I'm just being dense but I've searched and searched and can't find how to do this.

I'm running SageMC but I think this is a root problem. In "My Videos" I have several of the regular categories including "Unassigned". When I do an IMDB Import it'll add the category if it isn't already in there. For instance, it created a "History" category for one of my movies.

What I can't figure out is how to create a new category without using IMDB. If I try to assign a category via "Edit Video Info" it only shows me the default categories and not even the IMDB created ones.

My motivation is that I've ripped a bunch of home movies from MiniDV and I want to put them in a "Home Movies" category.

I don't have any other plugins. Just SageMC.

Couple of days and lots of views. I guess I should be dismayed by the lack of responses? There's got to be a way if IMDB lookup can add categories.

I think you are better off than me. I haven't figured out how to get the movies I have categorized? You are way ahead of me!

This forum is rich with information but I just feel like there aren't enough How To's for the beginners or SageTV just isn't intuitive enough to make modifications.

When you bring up the category list via 'Edit Video Info', there should be an option to create a new category. It might be at the end of the list.

No option to create only to change. I'm running the Steel Blue theme I think so I tried changing to the default and it was the same.

Checking general version now...maybe it's just old.

The first is the initial "Edit Video Info" screen. The second is when I select "Change Category" or "Change Sub-Category" from that menu.

So, am I looking in the wrong place? I've tried other SageMC themes and it's always the same.

when you scroll to the bottom of the list (as show in your screenie #2), the option should be listed.

In my defense, there's no indication that it's a scrolling window. UI oversight? It should be obvious even for dense people like myself!
