Does cleaning the properties file help ?

My properties files has accumulated a lot of 'junk' (fields from various STV's, imports, etc that I no longer use)

If I cleaned out the properties file, does it gain me anything outside of a tiny amount of disk space? (Does startup time decrease? What about memory usage?)

thanks

rwc

If it bothers you, there's no harm in cleaning it up (if you're careful and keep backups). But I wouldn't expect to see any detectable improvements in memory use or startup performance.
