Where is the play, pause, ff, and rw buttons on Sagetv client 2.0

I have been using v1.41 for a week or so, bought it then upgraded to v2. Great so far except my client has no buttons on the screen like 1.41 did. How do i fast forward or rewind or pause while watching a show?

You have to use a remote or your keyboard. Full mouse support has not yet been completed. (That was listed in the release notes for the very first beta, but the release notes for that version aren't on the beta download page.) Watch for it in a future version, perhaps coming soon to a PC near you.

Where can I find out what the keyboard command are?

Also, have you ever had an issue where the client plays for about 5 mins then freezes the video but the audio still works?

Thanks

Dave

Search the forum for "keyboard commands" etc, or go to the Setup -> Detailed Setup -> Commands -> Link ... Command & scroll through the list to see what is currently defined. You can change or add key assignments there.

Not here. My initial problem was just the opposite. I don't remember if this was the subject of another thread you were in, but have you tried changing any of the video or audio renderers?

Yeah, I have tried and I have 2 machines that exhibit the exact same behavior, now the only common thing between them is that both have ati integrated on motherboard cards. You think this is a client end issue? i have windvd loaded and use that as the software mpeg2 decoder

You've tried other decoders, right?

I really don't have a good idea on what would cause that... and I see your other thread had no answers so far, so my guess is that either not too many other people know what to suggest, or it was overlooked somehow. You might want to try updating the video card drivers. I was about to suggest updating the Hauppauge drivers... but if the problem is playback only & the client doesn't have an encoder, I suppose that isn't the problem, is it? (Since you said it plays back ok on the server.) Can you play mpeg files on your client machine w/any other software w/o the same problem?

If you've searched the forums for similar problems in the past, can't find anything, and no one else has a clue either... send in a Support Request for v1.4 or file a bug for the v2 beta. You can check the v2 log file to see if you notice any sort of error message, or tech support may ask to see it.
