Question Help! EPG data missing!

I have been running 2.0.13 with no major problems since it was released but now I am having a problem. The guide data is missing ( the infamous "No Data" listing) for several channels but not all (and no, this is not a viacom/Dish Network issue as I have Time Warner Cable ). I have tried everything can think of short of re-installing SageTV. Here are what I think are the relevant lines from the log file:
Thu 3/11 8:53:34.163 sage.o@fa1b85 needs an update in 0:00:00
Thu 3/11 8:53:34.163 EPG needs an update in 0 minutes

Thu 3/11 8:53:34.378 WarlockRipper logged in OK.
Thu 3/11 8:53:35.061 WarlockRipper got 331 channels
Thu 3/11 8:55:42.193 ERROR Updating EPG Source Time Warner Houston DAC Digital - Houston
Thu 3/11 8:55:42.194 ErrorText:expand called on Time Warner Houston DAC Digital - Houston at Thu 3/11 8:53:34.163 expandedUntil=Thu 3/11 8:50:35.513 confirmedUntil=Wed 12/31 18:00:00.000
EPG Expanding Time Warner Houston DAC Digital - Houston at Thu 3/11 8:53:34.164
Repeated errors in communicating with server :java.io.EOFException

I have used previous wiz.bin files and even let Sage create a new wiz.bin file but the problem (the EPG error in the log file) still persists.

Can anyone shed any light on this?

I have had similar problems with .013, I was recording Kingdom Hosptital and the episode from last week has vanished, a lot of stuff ended up getting double recordings. And now Sage is locking up.
Not sure what is happening, feeling like reverting back to 1.4 BUT I think I will lose all my shows etc in the recorder menu and so thinking of hanging on till the next release.
My biggest frustration has been trying to watch a show while it is getting recorded, Sage refuses to do anything when I hit the watch now selection, just sits there but will still enable me to go back to live guide so it isn't a lock up.

the watch now button in the live TV guide does nothing for me too
I think this should be sunmitted as a bug
I can though select the channel by choosing it in the guide
just the watch now button in the info does not work

Well for me if I am recording that show it goes straight to the options and watch now is the only way to access it.

I think, and don't quote me here, the watch now not working "might" be due to a lack of drive space...

Ok, now that Crowdx42's problem is solved, can I get a little help on my original issue (see first post)?

When you created the new wiz file did you remove the original wiz.bin and the wiz.bak file? If not try that. And double check and make sure latest java is installed.

if you are getting no data then remove a channel then readd it put sage asleep and wake it and it should be there
Thats what I did to get back my program info after it went to no data
try the channels that lost there info if all then just any old channel should work

Neither adding/removing channels or removing the wiz.bin/bak files did any good. I already had the latest version of Java (1.4.2). I ended up backing up my properties file, uninstalling Sage, deleting the entire directory, reinstalling Sage, and restoring the properties file. Everything is fine now. I will be more careful to back up everything more often in the future.

if you go directly to zap2it's website, is there a listing for your cable? It looks form the log that its either having trouble connecting to the server or its not finding the listings on the server after it connects.

I wish it had been that simple falchulk.
The Zap2it site still carries my provider's listings using the same description that it always has.
The weird thing about this specific problem was that not all the channels were effected. The EPG appeared normal for some channels while others showed "No Data."

Hmm, thats very odd. I would copy the whole directory somewhere, run the uninstall and delete the frey dir. Then reinstall to see if it works. You can then try slapping your sage.propertes and wiz.bin file back in there.

I've already done everything you've mentioned with the exception of restoring the wiz.bin file (I had tried this on a previous attempt but the error returned). Everything started working again but of course I had to reapply all my favorites and Sage deleted all my recorded shows.
