HD TV Question

My wife and I are in the market to pick up an LCD for our bedroom. We’re liking the 32” models and have been mulling over a few different ones. We’re stuck. All the following TV’s look beautiful and we are having a tough time coming to a decision. I don’t think for a 32” 1080P matters much but if someone can say different I’d love to hear.

These are the models we have been seriously looking into:

LG 32LG30 $498 720P
Sharp Aquos LCC3234U $499 720P
Toshiba 32AV502U $470 720P
Vizio VW32L $430 720P
Vizio VO32LF $550 1080P

Which model would you choose and why? Any input is helpful at this point. Even if it is to deter us from going one way or another.

Many thanks to all responses!

I really can't comment on any of these modes. You can do searches for reviews on these models and get really good information about them. Amazon is also a good place for customer reviews. I have a Samsung 32" in my bedroom that I really like, and I can say that you do not need a 1080P model for a 32" LCD tv. 720P is fine for a 32" model. My main Tv is a 55" rear projection HDTV and I don't really see any difference in 720P and 1080i on it. Actually fox is my best looking network channel and it broadcasts at 720P.

My preference is Samsung too. I have two 32"s in my bedrooms and a 52" in the living room. 720p is more than enough for 32". I also like LG, new Sharps are pretty decent. Have used Vizio and Toshiba before but don't prefer.

I agree with Helen. Samsung is my favorite TV brand for LCD's. I like LG and Sharp also but prefer Samsung for any major viewing television. Visio is not a bad bedroom tv though along with Westinghouse. What I mean by that, is that it won't be your primary television. At 32" or less, I recommend just going with 720P as the difference between 720P and 1080P at that size is just not worth the extra dough.

I’ll have to dig up a Samsung it sounds. As far as my above list, I have been leaning more towards the Aquos, or LG… I’ll see if I can find a Samsung 32 in my price range… Many thanks for your responses!

If you want the Vizio VW32L, Dell has it right now for $349 +tax with Free Shipping. Might make your decision more interesting.

I've got two Vizio's and love them both. For the price they are unbeatable.

I put my vote for Samsung also. I have a 46" and it is awesome and the price was almost as awesome.

I just got the message and they seem sold out... From the looks of it people jumped right on this one.
