SageTV Recordings/Media files disappearing

I have been working on setting up a media center PC for a while and I finally got the parts around to build one. I have been trying out different flavors and really like SageTVs layout, but I am running into problems. After a couple weeks of trying to fix it and searching forums I have decided to break down and post for help.

I first installed the newest SageTV trial version onto a Windows XP computer that I dedicated as my media center. The problem is that after a few hours of watching TV, recorded shows or media files my list of recorded shows/media files disappears from SageTV Recordings section and also the Media Center > Browse Media files area. If I go to Media Center > Search or Videos they will show up and I can find them. I can get them back if I restart the computer or sometimes restarting the the SageTV client fixes it, but not always.

I wiped the computer and reinstalled XP SP3 updated everything, but still had the same problem. I then reformatted and installed Vista 32 SP1 and the same problem happens. I also swapped out my ATI x1950 with a nVidia 6600 I had, without any change. I am at a loss as to what I am missing, could someone point me in the right direction?

OS: Vista 32 SP1 or Windows XP SP3
Java: Version 6 Update 12
Tuner: Hauppauge PVR-350
Video card: ATI x1950 or nVidia 6600
Processor: Intel e2160
Mobo: DFI BloodIron P35-T2RL

You're using v6.5 from the SageTV downloads page?

Would you enable debug logging, then post your log after it happens again?

I downloaded the newest SageTV from the website and ran a check disc on my hard drive, this seems to have fixed my problem as my paths are no longer disappearing.
