Wow, less than a week ago. That's good news because I was missing some of the features by downgrading.
This still applied though - if you're running 9.1 Catalyst drivers, the DXVA is broken. |

The problem is that you were using Cyberlink Codecs.
Cyberlink is really dumb in how they handle their codecs. Each application using them needs to be indvidually configured for things like enabling DXVA or how many audio channels you want to utilize. All of these settings are stored in the registry specific to each application that could be utilizing the codec. If you did not do a hack to specifically input the registry settings for the Cyberlink Codec specifc to Sage it could have been defaulting to DXVA off putting the load on your CPU and giving you the resulting issue.
