Suddenly having crashes when trying to record

Hey guys,

I've been running Sage with my current setup for some time now and suddenly Sage has started cutting off (closing) just as a show is about to record. The first time I thought it was a fluke. But last night it happened again as Heroes was coming on.

When I get home from work I always wake the HTPC so that it can do any daily downloads (antivirus, Windows, etc...). TNext, I maximize SageTV to check that the show is in the queue under Favorites for that night. Then I minimize and go on with my evening. But for some reason, the system will not wake and record now.

I haven't changed anything in the Windows or SageTV settings but when I get home tonight, I'll recheck the storage drive path for recording. Reboot the HTPC. But beyond that I can't think of what else to try.

Any ideas?

One thing to do that might help track down what is happening is to enable debug logging & see if the log has any info about it.

Sage didn't shut down this time but it still didn't record. I don't understand what the problem could be. I haven't changed anything with HTPC. I may just reinstall the program.

As for that log, where would it should up?

I finally got it to record. But I found something odd while checking out the setup.

While looking at the taskbar, I attempted to maximize Sage and nothing happened, so I right-clicked on it to close the program. No response. Hmm... Then when I put the mouse over the icon again I noticed that the label said, "SageTV 2". It was still unresponsive.

I opened the Task Manager and saw "Sagetv.exe" twice. I closed them both and the taskbar icon finally closed. I reopened Sage, checked my settings and waited for Lost to come on. All was fine and it recorded. Some how I opened Sage twice and I guess it just screwed things up. If all goes well for tonights recording then I guess I know what the problem was.
