Java Heap Size

...and for those of you other Vista x64 users, the correct key location is:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Frey Technologies\SageTV

Mine seemed to be defaulted to "zero" which I assume means SageTV uses an internal setting? Seemed to be 384 MB. Bumped it to 768 MB so far (have 4 GB RAM installed, other users were reporting problems with 1 GB in this thread but 512 MB worked, so split the difference).

Still in the process of configuring; only have two tuners (HDHomeRun dual) and one HD200 running on a Wireless N converter though so want to minimize any additional delay as my network is already a little slower than wired, and I am enabling a lot of the metadata and fanart. Played around last night and had no skipping at all playing back two HD shows (extender quality set on high) as well as a couple of DVD TV episodes, so looks to be good to go!

I must have missed the posts about having problems with 1GB for heap size. I run 1.5GB heap, but I've got 3 x HD100s, 1 x HD200, BMT, SageAlert, the jetty web server, 6 x HDHR tuners, and 4 x HD-PVRs. I still have problems on occassion with the circle, but I think that's mostly related to drive access.
