DVD FF thru previews => weird lockup
This used to happen with MediaPortal too, i'm wondering if anyone has solved this. When I play a DVD, whether it's ripped or straight off the physical disc, if I FF thru the previews, I wind up getting the wait circle thing and the CPU goes to 100% - I see the menu or some random preview scene frozen and the only way to get out of it is to manually kill the Sage client process. If the DVD is ripped and I go straight to 'DVD Menu' it works ok, but on a physical DVD this is always blocked. Seems like it has to do with how the disc wants to force you to watch certain parts. Any ideas?

On a disc you can't FF thru those. (Unless the disc tells you that you can-some do) But a rip should not be affected by that. I know mine are not. I ff thru all the premieres until I reach the main dvd menu when i rip the full disc.

I find on the ripped ones I can hit menu to bypass but even on the ripped ones I lock up if I FF through. I don't mind if FF doesn't work but I'd like to find a way to avoid it just locking up the system and requiring a reboot. I don't know though if it's a Sage thing, or due to the DVD software that Sage is calling on my computer, or something else.

Try a different video decoder for the DVDs and test FF again.
