I Need More Help with Phaseshifter

I've installed the Phaseshifter on my server, and read the manual, but would still like a little help. I have run the test on my server, and it's said that the Phaseshifter was ready for use. It gave me the locater I.D. Do I have to install any software on the remote computer first? Then what. I'm not an expert on the workings of the Internet. Merci..

You install the Placeshifter license on the server. You install/run the Placeshifter client software on the machine where you want to use it. Try it first on your LAN, where you won't need the Locator ID. It should discover the server automatically and add it to the server list. Try connecting to make sure it works. If it doesn't, you have a firewall issue on your server computer.

Once you've verified LAN connectivity, you can try creating a remote connection using the Add button and the Locator ID. (You can also use your server's static WAN IP or domain name if you know it.) Then test that connection to make sure it works. If it doesn't, you have a port forwarding issue on your router.

Once you have everything working, you can copy your Placeshifter installation folder to a USB stick and run it on any Windows machine without installing it first.
