Single step DVD ripping for Sage playback
Just read about the release of bitRipper
I downloaded and ripped a 1:42 long movie to a 438 mb AVI file using the DivX codec. Beautiful rip, looks great on my 40" Sony HD TV. Audio synced well and the playback was automatic, no delays like I often get out of Sage when it tries to play an AVI file. I've read lots of forum threads looking for an easy to use method for ripping a DVD for playback, but this really is a single step process. The only issue I have encountered is playing back Sage recorded videos while ripping. When the computer was ripping, all of our videos returned a playback error (I didn't record it at the time). However, once the rip was done and bitRipper was turned off, playback is fine without a reboot. I assume bitRipper was using something (driver, codec, hardware???) Sage needed. So, one problem, but not a deal breaker for me. Anyone else using bitRipper yet? D |
