Trial flashin on Place Shifter and HD200 HD Theater

I have a strange issue, on my new HD SageTV server when I watch from the sage place shifter, or my newly arrived HD200 HD Theater I get a flashing 'Trial' while watching recordings, on the main menu of the HD200 I get a message that I'm using a trial version, which I'm not.

My original server license was for v 2 or something, and I have an upgrade license, and if I recall it did prompt me when installing to give it the original license and then the upgrade license.

It works fine on my sage client, and on the server itself. Any idea what the deal might be here?

It flashes trial when you don't have a valid license to watch TV from a placeshifter client and/or an extender. The short answer is that you're probably running SageTV version 6.4, and you need to update to Sage v6.5. That's a free update.

Similar to how you need a separate license to watch TV using a SageTV Client, you need separate licenses to watch TV on a Placeshifter client or on an extender. The extenders are all sold with licenses, so you don't need to buy one to get that working. With the HD100s, Sage used to e-mail you a license number to enter on your server. Licensing works a little different on the HD200. Basically, when using Sage v6.5, the server recognizes your HD200 as a valid, licensed device automatically. So, after you update your server software to version 6.5, your HD200 should work fine.

Placeshifter used to be licensed with extenders, but that's no longer the case. To use a placeshifter client, you'll need to buy a placeshifter license, and enter it on your server.

Thanks, I think the place shifter license is what I missed on the new server. I think I've got it set, and I've upgraded to v6.59.
