Any other HD extender options for Sage?

Are tehre any options for HD extenders for Sage other than the Sage Made "SageTV HD Theater"? Anything else worth considering at least? I used the Hauppauge Media MVP with my SD Sage setup for some time now. Anything similar in the HD realm?

The HD200 HD Theater is really your best bet. It's the only officially supported extender (HD) being sold at the moment.

You can pick up a HD100 (the previous HD extender model) on ebay for a decent price these days though and it is very capable.

Thanks for any info...

SageTV 6.5 is in beta albeit days away from release from beta. The current beta 6.5 version is extremely stable so don't worry about that. You just need to use 6.5 to get the extender to work well as an extender.

Important question, where do I get the 6.5 beta? I followed all the links I could find and no luck.

Thanks Opus.

Quick unrelated question, I notice several cats in the sig photos, including yours. Any significance in that or just a lot of cat lovers out here?

You need an Extender/placeshifter license for the HD100 (which the HD100 comes with when you purchase it).

Well, since they're no longer available through the SageTV Store, who knows what it will come with when you buy it used off eBay.

Yeah, I probably should have said "when you purchased it from SageTV".

If you snag one off ebay, you'll probably have to buy an extender license.
