Picture "bow" on HD200

Has anyone experienced the picture bowing at the edge(mine is the top) on the HD200? I noticed this when I set it up about a month ago, but haven't really looked into it since. I'm at the latest beta firmware. It is plugged into an HDMI input on my TV and I don't get that issue with any other source.

Interesting... wide screen CRT. Just looking up the TV I ran across reports of people having image distortion problems. That could be part of it. Do you have any other sources to test against? OTA or QAM HD maybe?

Yep, as stated in my initial post "I don't get that issue with any other source. "

I have OTA HD, QAM, DVD - all of which are straight as a ruler. It's not a huge bow, but is noticable, especially to me.

And yes, "wide screen CRT" is a bit odd, eh? ;-) It was a good deal at the time and is overall a decent TV.

I don't know why one source would distort and others not. What resolution are you running your HD200 at? According to the specs it capable of both 720p and 1080i. Does this happen at both resolutions?

I'll try that and post back this weekend. I haven't compared it to the component inputs either. Another thought was maybe the HDMI cable... clutching for straws... It's not horrible and I doubt that the family even notices - just me!

I doubt it has anything to do with the cable or the HD200 for that matter. You have to remember you're dealing with a CRT which isn't exactly a precision device. Nothing like an LCD or plasma which has discrete pixels on the screen. A CRT just shoots the image at the front of the tube and it appears however it appears based on how well the electronics in the TV can get it.

Does the TV have any kind of image alignment controls? Anything to adjust the image? These type of controls have been available on CRT computer monitors for quite some time. I don't doubt that this might not only be necessary but mandatory on a wide CRT HDTV.
