Low volume with HD-PVR

I've got a Motorola DCT4612 running through a HD-PVR and have noticed that when watching anything coming from that tuner it is a lot quieter than when watching TV from my PVR-500 tuner.

If the volume watching from the PVR-500 is at 20% I would have to turn the volume up to 100% when watching from the HD-PVR to make it equivalent.

As you can imagine, when having the volume at 100% on the HD-PVR and then switching to a channel on the PVR-500, it really hurts the ears.

Anyone have any ideas on how to increase the volume on the DCT6412/HD-PVR so it's equal to the PVR-500?

Are you using analog audio capture...if so have you tried turning up the volume of the DCT6412? Point its remote at it and press the volume up button......

Now if you are capturing via digital audio stream, then someone else will have to help....

I'm using analog audio capture but AFAIK there is no way to increase the volume on the DCT4612, it's just set at a default level and you just increase or decrease the volume on the TV.

I may have to try component + SPDIF and see if that helps.

I don't have any suggestion to offer you but I have the same problem - I have two HD-PVRs each hooked up to SA3250HDs and they both have relatively low volumes, one is noticably lower than the other. (Volume is maxed on both cable boxes but that didn't seem to make a difference) My OTA tuner is MUCH LOUDER.
