Things that would really help me - Girder and Sage
I've finally got the hang of it all!!!!! I'm pretty happy about that, but I have found that my computer screen is a mess (with all kinds of windows being minimized, maximized and full screens).
Is there anyway to absolutely put sage into a known state. For me it ideally would be in the tray. Then with Girder I could wake it up, send it one full screen command and be in business. Then one other command and put it back. I realize I can probably do this with states, but my user interface is not locked and the size or state of the window might be unknown. Since I have your attention: I have searched the forums and I know there are a number of command line switches. Is there a list of what they are and what they do?? Thanks ED

I you like, you can follow the link in my signature to download an old copy of my GML which should give you some hints for how to do this. The GML on my web site hasn't been updated for v2, though, so use stanger89's GML for the actual Sage commands. |

Thanks,
I alread do this (unless I am not understanding). If sage is fullscreen and I put it to sleep I get the bounching Sage logo. If sage is not full screen or minimized I can put it in the tray. The problem is that I can never be sure what state it is in (can I). I can always get it into the tray, but can never get it to come out in a known state. When I awaken it I get a bunch of bouncing windows as I mazimize and full screen it. I am still working on it. I realize I might be able to minimize the problem with states. I will take a look at your gml file. I have used it in the past. Thanks, Ed

Can't thank you enough. Disabling the screen saver did the trick!!!
