Logitech Harmony Remotes and IR Extenxders
We are going to be moving soon and I am hoping to place all the A/V gear in the basement with just a single HDMI cable going to the TV(s).
Right now I am looking at the Harmony One and Harmony 880. Any thoughts/experiences with either of these? Any known issues with them and the MVP? Same question for IR extenders. Any known problems with particular models and the MVP? I have a pair of the pyramid ones somewhere, but can't seem to find them at the moment to do any testing. |

The 890 and Harmony 1000 can take advantage of Logitech's RF extender. So you can stick it all in the basement. No problems with the Harmony remotes on any of the SageTV gear.

I use the Harmony 880 and it works fine. After a year the volume "up" button is not as sensitive as it use to be, which is my only complaint.
My IR system is by Xantech: http://www.xantech.com/Infrared/Infr...ts/29195KITRP/ |

I use a Harmony One with the HD100 without any issues. The remote works really well, it feels great in the hand, it's been reliable--I have an 11 year old who doesn't mind juggling with it when I'm not around, and she's not very good--and, most important, it looks great. (The software for programming it, however, leaves a bit to be desired.)
