Anyone know of a quick Vid File information shell extension??
I've spent the past 30 minutes googleing for some sort of shell extension or windows explorer replacement that will give me a quick view of video resolution and (would be nice) bitrate. Windows explorer can give information about audio files, but I haven't found anyway to do this for video.
As of now, I'm using GSpot for quick codec information, but I'm loading files into Handbrake for resolution information which is a bit cumbersome. Does anyone know of any quick video information utilities?? TIA - Chuck |

It's not a shell extension but MediaInfo is great for that.

Rock on!
MediaInfo does the trick. It does actually have shell integration -- hover over a filename and it displays basic info. It's supposed to be right-click inegrated in windows explorer, but It's not working for me. The hover is good enough! Thanks again. You've saved me from considerable annoyance. |
