HD200 HDMI not not working
I haven't been able to get HDMI output to work with my Samsung LE40A656 LCD TV.
I've tried setting the 'force HDMI output' option (using updated firmware), and plugging and unplugging the HDMI cable, and waiting for up to 5 minutes for the TV to get the signal. ... all with no success. The TV always reports 'no signal' Fortunately my Samsung LE40A656 LCD TV - has component, S-Video, HDMI and other inputs - so I've been able to experiment a bit with my setup. I also have a HDFury2 - HDMI to component converter. Now, if I plug the HD200 HDMI output into my HDFury2 and convert to component, then run it through my Hauppauge HD-PVR and then into the component in on my TV - ... I can get it to work. So my HDFURY2 definately receives output from the HD200 HDMI out. Also, I can get component output to work (so long as it's set to 60Hz) from the HD200 into the TV. But, no joy getting the TV to recognise an HDMI signal from the HD200. I can't even be sure that a signal is being sent. Now I do want to be able to use HDMI output rather than component because my HD-PVR sometimes needs to use the component inputs on the TV as well, although it is usually connected to a projector. So, at the moment the HD200 if far from plug and play and it has yet to function the way it should with my Samsung TV. I know nothing about HDMI protocols but am hoping that my experimenting my give a clue as to what may be going on, and if further experimentation may assist in someone finding a solution please let me know. Any advice on how to get my system working through HDMI would be very welcome. Rod. |

Did you cycle through using the video out button on the remote? Once you get that to work there is a setting to force HDMI all the time also.

Yes I've tried all the guidance I can find on this issue including cycling through the video out button, and enabling the 'force HDMI' option. I am able to get a signal through both SVideo and Component, so I can view and change the SAGETV setup menus. ...But can't get HDMI to work. |
