HDHomeRun Gets Unresponsive Sometimes - Losing Recordings
I have a weird problem that has been ongoing for a while now, through several betas of SageTV.
I am now on the latest 6.5.6 beta, and the latest firmware of the HDHR 20081231. Lately, the HDHR will seem like it is working fine. Then, at some point, the tuners stop responding to tuning requests (no tuner green lights go on), SageTV thinks it is recording it, but after the show is done recording, it just disappears. If I try and watch it while it is still recording, it is just a black screen, that is paused. I have to reboot the HDHR to fix it, only to have it happen again later on. My power supply went bad a couple months ago, and I got the replacement, but this was happening even before the replacement. Is anyone else having this problem? I have my HDHR and the HTPC hooked up to the same bridge (D-Link DAP-1555).

I haven't had blank recordings in a week but I have had problems with the HDHR locking up (all lights lit and no response). It's been 48 hours since that's happened so it should be happening tonight since some of favorite shows are on.
I'm on the latest beta with the latest firmware.

Strange. Yeah, I read about the problems about all the lock ups, with all lights on, but mine is the opposite of that, only the power light is on, and when it tries to tune, nothing happens.
I wonder if I should assign a static IP to the HDHR or something. Right now, it is DHCP, and the HTPC is static.

Welll, tried a static IP, and still, I am getting the thing not tuning to record shows. SageTV still thinks it is recording, until of course, it sees that the file size is 0.00, and it just goes away. It happened once again tonight, and I had to reboot the HDHR, and restart SageTV, so that it would retune...
I wonder if something is wrong with the HDHR?

I've been getting the same thing lately. It was fine with 6.4.8, but I've been noticing occasional lockups when trying to view live TV via my HD100. It will just give a blank screen, the HDHR will display tuner 0 recording. Turning the HD100 off and then back on sometimes fixes it, other times a reboot is required.
Oddly enough, it hasn't affected scheduled recordings - only live TV.

Did it again last night. Recorded one show perfectly on the HDHR, the next show was on a different channel and the blasted thing locked up. All lights lit. Sage usually crashes. HDHR shows both tuners are active with good signals. Restart Sage without resetting the HDHR and Sage thinks it's recording but nothing is recorded.
Hopefully, my server will be built and operational this week-end so I can try this on a stable platform.

I think our problems are different. Mine, no lights will show up. It just fails to tune any station, and records nothing, no data from the HDHR.
I will try a rescan, and see if that does anything for me. Right now, I just reboot the HDHR every evening before primetime. It is annoying, but at least I know I'll get my recordings for the evening.
