SageMC Auto Compression question

I appear to be getting multiple Auto Compresses running (as I am ending up with multiple AVI files for my Faves) and I think it may be due to the SageMC Auto Compress running as well as JREkiwi's Auto Compress add-in for the default UI.

How does the SageMC Auto Compress function work? I am running Sage for WHS (which runs as a service) and I have several extenders, one SageClient and some machines occasionally logging in via PlaceShifter. I generally keep the default UI up and running on the server as this is apparently required for the JREkiwi Auto Compress.

Does SageMC Auto Compress run on the server? Does it need a client/extender/placeshifter alive to initiate the job?

Does the Sage MC Auto Compress read the settings from JREkiwi's Auto Compress? It looks like it does as the Series that are set to Auto Compress are the ones that I set up in the JREkiwi add-in on the default UI. How do I specify what folder that I want the compressed file to go in under SageMC - I don't see this option - this is one of the few things missing in JREkiwi's addin? I use this feature as I compress kids shows that I record and then store them in the relevant folder - ie. after Dora is compressed it goes into the \\server\videos\Kids\Dora folder.

Originally, they both used the same setting to enable Auto Compress, but as the two diverged I thought it best to be able to enable them separately. I don't understand why you are getting multiple AVI files though, as the .autocompress file that gets created as part of the process should prevent a second compression job running on either version.

They both need a client alive to run.

The basic settings for compression of favorites is the same, but the SageMC version doesn't do compressing to specific folders or compression based on channels.

If your wanting to compress to folders, just use the import on the default STV on a UI running on your server, and disable Auto Compress on all your other SageMC clients.
