Ummm... this doesn't look right...
I just installed the Windows 7 beta and am running through a bunch of tests. I just installed the SageTV Placeshifter, but the window's all screwed up... here is a screen shot. I tried installing the latest 6.5.6 RC, and then back to the 6.5.3 release. Same results. Has anyone seen this or know how to make it look right? Thanks!

OK... just saw that I had Placeshifter minimized, so I just opened it. Looks perfect... then, about 2 seconds later, back to the 3x3 windowed effect above... WTF?
Here's proof that it WANTS to work....

Don't know how to fix that but I will be trying Win7 shortly and I will post my results.
By the way, if you save your screenshots as jpg files rather than bmp then they will be MUCH smaller, making it easier to attach them.

Yah... jpg is smaller than bmp, but just starting to figure out Windows 7 and how to "unhide" all the "users shouldn't be changing extensions because the computer is smarter than you are" features... LMAO
That's why - you'll notice, the first one is ".bmp.bmp" I hate they way the default Windows lockdown is done...

I agree - when I have installed Vista step #1 is always to turn off UAC.
[rant]The other thing that I hate is that with every OS MS seems to change things in Control Panel for the heck of it. They seem to make it harder and harder to do something simple such as set up a static IP for your network card or even learn what your IP address is. It is totally stupid that the easiest way to see your IP address in 2009 is to open a DOS window and type "ipconfig"[/rant]

LOL - agreed... sometimes the simplest way is always most effective.
Similarly - to repair your LAN connection - don't use Windows' "repair tool" - takes "forever". A simple ipconfig /release ipconfig /renew is clean and efficient!
