Some TV shows missing from default but not SageMC
Here is a strange situation. Recorded TV shows from early today are not showing up in my Recorded TV list on the default UI but they are on the SageMC UI. How can this be? Don't both UIs get this data from wiz.bin. When I toggle back and forth between UIs the Recorded TV content changes?
Here are screenshots to show what I mean - notice how in the default UI that shows 3-7 from SageMC don't exist. Can anyone offer an explanation? Note that the screenshots are for Placeshifter but it is the same on the server (I am using WHS) and using SageCleint.

Are you sure they're not just sorted in a different order? Or using different view filters?
If it's not something simple like that, you'll probably have to ask the SageMC devs how their list is generated.

No filters are active - I tried clicking on all buttons and the sort order is most recent first - as you can see from the screenshots.

Actually, the reason I asked was because I couldn't tell from the screenshots. It looks like they're sorted by date, but it's not clear which date (recording date or original air date), or whether SageMC defines "most recent" the same way the stock UI does. Then there's "intelligent" sorting, which is sort of by date, but not really.
But if you've double-checked all that and none of those apply, then it most likely comes down to some quirk of the way SageMC differentiates "TV" content from "non-TV" content, that only someone familiar with that code can explain.

The only thing I can say is to essentially repeat what Greg said: the most likely answer is that either SageMC is adding things or they aren't really configured to group, filter, and sort the shows the same way. It looks to me like the default UI is set to sort using the "Intelligent" setting, where IR shows aren't going to be near the front of the list like they are in the SageMC display. Double check the Sort icon on the icon bar (the down-pointing arrow). The SageMC display also looks like it isn't grouping recordings by title.

I guess I didn't explain this properly in my initial post but the problem isn't with SageMC, the problem is with the default UI as it is missing shows that were recorded by Sage. I don't understand how this happens as I assumed that both UIs would access the Recorded shows list from the wiz.bin file.
It seems that the problem has rectified itself for now. The only cause that I can think of is that I did have an alert that I had a corrupt file on the C drive of my Sage/WHS server. That was fixed (hopefully) by chkdsk.

I just figured this out - it is a groupings and sort issue. The recordings that aren't showing up are actually grouped and were Favorites. The sort order was set to intelligent and it appears that when recordings were added to a group the group did not pop to the top of the list under intelligent sorting and/or since they were Favorites they get a low priority under this sorting method. I have now changed sorting to newest shows first and all is well.
