Vote for SageTV at Lifehacker - yes again...

Lifehacker has another "hive five" special going on, this time for "The Best DVR Application."

Give SageTV a little love and go put their name in the hat. To avoid the confusion from last time, here's how it works:

  • First you leave a comment saying which is your favorite DVR application. This does require you set up a username and password, but it's painless and you don't even need to give them a e-mail to do this.
  • Lifehacker will then gather the top five from all of the comments and then have another post with an actual vote between the top 5 applications determined from the first post - to vote in this you don't have to even sign on to vote.

UPDATE:
Okay, the poll is up now. No need to register or anything, just select your favorite DVR (hopefully SageTV) and click submit.

Choices are Media Center, SageTV, BeyondTV, etc etc.

Vote Now Here

I'm surprised tivo is doing well too. It makes me wonder who visits lifehacker or if tivo is linking the poll from their service...

The poll is over.
1st Windows Media Center
2nd MythTV
3rd TiVo
4th SageTV - a distant 4th too.

I'm not shocked or anything, but a little surprised at how well MythTV did. MythTV is just a lot of work to set up and ongoing. Media Center has a lot of users as does TiVo - both are more household names compared to the competition. I had hopes SageTV would at least come in 3rd but oh well...

Wondering if things like this could be added as a sticky. I am usually on this forum everyday and did not come accress this thread.
I would have voted all weekend long.

Thanks for the information even if I saw too late.
