Can anyone that uses Dish and an HD-PVR successfully please post what receiver you have, what version of hdpvr, and how they are connected (optical or rca)? Thanks.

I've been using the HDPVR successfully since July. I have a VIP211 that is hooked to the HDPVR with a set resolution of 1080i and the audio is connected via stereo rca. I want to get down there and change the output to 720P to see if I can get it to output to my MVP's and to change the audio output to optical but I just haven't wanted to mess with a solid setup that I have going right now.

What revision of hdpvr do you have?

A novel idea, how about release notes included with their versions. I know it's crazy! Everyone loves trying to figure out what's new by experimentation; but I roll that way.

Not only are there multiple software revisions with no notes, but also multiple hardware revisions.

I have a D2 and was having popping issues with 1.0.5.3 so I figured I had nothing to lose trying 1.0.5.4. Not so. I've got a Vista 64bit system running Ultimate, and the driver makes my HDPVR unuseable. Back to 1.0.5.3 and will await a properly working driver.

My HD PVR locks up on me occasionally, about once a week, so I figured I try 1.0.54. It was much worse, it locks once a day now, so I rolled back. This is with a newer E revision HD PVR as well.
