Startup Error

Hi,

I searched the forum for an answer to this question, but the only thread that had this problem was not answered, so I am posting again....sorry.

With SageTV in sleep mode, when I reboot, I get the following error message at startup:

"There was a problem utilizing the specific capture configuration - unable to connect analog video cross streams - Error Code 0x80040217"

I have no clue what this means.

My setup:

Windows XP Pro
nforce 2 mobo
AMD 2500+
Hauppauge PVR-250
ATI 9600 pro
PowerDVD 4.0

I just built this HTPC, so I have all the latest drivers and updates. In the setup of SageTV, I have selected default for all the devices that can be selected. Should I change these.

Thanks for any help you can give me.

I recall sage somtimes having a problem onsome peoples systems on startup. I remember a delay setting being in te sage.properties file to correct this. It allows everything to completely load before sag starts if you put the proper amount of delay in.

Thanks

Thanks Falchulk. Just a note though. Had to set delay = 10 in both the sage.properties and the sage.properties.autobackup files to get it correct problem. Well I hope it corrected the problem. Didn't get the message at startup. Thanks again for you prompt reply and help

Not sure if you knew this, but you have to edit the properties file while SageTV is not running, or else it overwrites it when it exits & your changes won't make a difference.
