SageTV - Import media directories not accepting UNC nor mapped drives?

Hi,

I'm just checking out the "Media center" function of the SageTV server. All my media is stored on a separate file server, nothing is on the HTPC computer which is running the SageTV server. That means that I must specify UNC paths and/or mapped network drives when I add media directories to the SageTV server's "Media Center Import Directories" setting.

As far as I can tell, SageTV server doesn't list mapped network drives in that dialog, and it does not allow UNC paths either. Am I right in that assumption or am I missing something?

If I'm right, then how am I supposed to add my media to the SageTV server? Surely I'm not the only one who has all his media on a separate file server.

If you're running SageTV as a service it needs to be run under an account with access to those network resources. By default it's started under LocalSystem which doesn't have file-share access.

Oh, and Mapped drives won't work with the service, only UNC paths.
