W2K crashes with SageTV + MyHD recording
My HTPC has all-new components, the latest stuff -- ASUS P4P800-Deluxe, P4 2.4 GHZ, etc. -- and two hard drives. One drive is given over to music (FLAC), while the other has the operating system and a relatively modest amount of space set aside for video recordings (i.e., about 60 GB).
SageTV (1.4) is running all the time, doing its thing from the Hauppauge PVR 350 card. Every so often I also want to record an HDTV stream from the MyHD 120 card. In this situation, I haven't had as much stability as I'd want. Everything will be fine for a time, but then the computer will completely crash or lock up.
I adjusted SageTV's properties to ignore the MyHD card. I'm wondering if it would help if I went about adding two more hard drives for video -- one for SageTV and the other for MyHD. Would this have any effect on these random crashing problems I'm having? Anything else I'm missing?
Thanks for any help!
