Harmony/UIRT setup issues

Hi all,

my search techniques are not turning up any matches, so I'll post this in a new thread.

Just got UIRT and Harmony H659 working having migrated from a WinMCE remote, but there's a configuration issue I just can't shake yet.

Sage seems to be ignoring every other button press from the remote. I have to press the up button twice to go up by a single line, etc. It makes it rather annoying to use. The keystrokes are linked to the infrared signals manually (through Sage).

Is there something in the properties file I can tweak?

It sounds like you are using a toggling IR protocol on the remote -- each press of the same button toggles between 2 different codes. You'll need to learn each button twice w/o pressing any other button on the remote in between.

Thanks for the speedy reply.

Seems like I ought to be able to remove this toggling protocol somehow with the Harmony software. I'll poke around to see what I can turn up.

Yup Harmony has the switching (toggling) remote codes. Each button press has two codes you have to program.

Its easy to do, just map the first one like normal, then do it again and youll see the next code.

So for each action that is mapped, you will have..

Code #1
Code #2
Keyboard mapping

Nope, can't remove it in harmony setup. Its built into the firmware for the remote.
