XMLTV generator

Hi All,
in the region where I live some channel does not have EPG service and it is not covered by any xmltv grabber. Can any tell me if there a tools that can generate xmltv files. I give as input the programs list and get an xmlvtv file format.

Hi slimyosra,

I don't know of any grabbers like you describe, but I do know of one that works quite well for pretty much any site containing data in a table format: TVxb (http://www.tvxb.com/). You add your channels in an ini file. It is highly customizable, but also has an auto option that works okay, but not too great. In my case, I had to refine the ini file a bit to get it working right. Basically, I just had to tell it where to start and stop parsing program data. It also has the ability to add program data from a file, I believe. You might want to check it out to see if it fits your needs.

Anyways, I recommend it. You'll need to peruse the manual and configure it, which can take some time, but it works quite well. I haven't had to do anything to it since--it's now been working great for 11 months.
