mkv/h264 files black screen in directshow

I have set the merit and it still isn't working. I have the haali splitter installed also, but not working in sagetv. I can playback files in media center classic with no issues.

If you drag the mkv into graphstudio does it render properly (i.e. do the filters you want to join the graph do so)?

Sage has properties where you can specify the decoder per codec, did you put the MPC-HC video decoder in for h.264?

The mkv doesn't render correctly in graphstudio. Only the audio pin is connected.

I have specified the mpc-hc video decoder for h2.64. It shows up in the client properties.

Any suggestions? I had this all working and had major networking issues after the most recent ms update...and it corrupted a bunch of stuff--the wiz bin etc. So i had to start over. But things are not going so well this time around.


UPDATE: I fixed it. somehow the decoder had become unregistered. I registered it and now everything is good in the graph and sagetv.
