Different HD100 hardware revisions?

Hi Guys,

I'm in the market for a HD100...is there anything I need to be on the lookout for if I'm buying one of these second-hand?

Reading about the HD PVRs it seems there's definite hardware revs that are good and bad - was it the same with the HD100 - if so which revision should I try and get? Or was it all the same hardware over the product lifetime and just firmware updates??

The only thing I know of is the first shipments needed the front bezel changed to allow more IR through and needed to get a replacement from sage. I would make sure that has been done because I think you needed your original order number to get the replacement front panel...

I have one of the originals and a recent model, and they have a little cosmetic difference on the front, but I don't notice any difference in usuage.

I am curious as well -

I just got one second hand and it has a circular area in the fron bezel with buttons arround it. I've also seen a model that has six buttons on a slant (one after the other / / / / / / ) ... Which is the newer model???

I bought my HD100 in the last batch about 3 mths ago, its buttons are all on a slant.

I have the one from first shipment with the front bezel exchanged. I believe they are all identical inside and the only difference is the look of the buttons. In any case, getting HD 100 was the best investment in home electronics I have ever made.
