6.5.3 WHS as Network Encoder

Here's my setup, I have 6.4.8 installed on WHS with a PVR150 and a PVR250 setup as network encoders for a second 6.4.8 SageTV server installed on CentOS 5.2 Linux version. (I could never get lirc to work with my USB UIRT on CentOS therefore the WHS server, but that's another issue!)

My issue now is this, with the 6.4.8 setup on both systems everything works great. When I install the beta 6.5.3 on both, the CentOS setup can't use the network encoders of the WHS. The CentOS "discovers" the encoders but they are reported as "functioning = false" for both the 150 and 250 and they produce no picture. I downgraded the WHS install back to 6.4.8 (6.5.3 still installed on CentOS) and everything works great again. Does that mean there is something "busted" in the network encoding of the WHS 6.5.3? Does it even matter? If I only use the WHS for network encoding is it necessary to upgrade or jut stick with 6.4.8 that works? Is there anything to gain by updating the WHS install? Thanks.

John

You won't have any issues using 6.4.8 as a network encoder; but we'd like to get the logs from you when it fails with 6.5.3 if you could submit a bug report please. http://sagetv.com/bugs.html

Thanks

Just as an update. The beta support team provided an updated Mpeg2Dump.ax for WHS that fixed the problem. I've attached the file if anyone else is having the same issue.
