Upgrade from 6.3.10
Been trying to upgrade from SageTV v6.3.10.166 to the new v6.4.8.
To install the new version, I was attempting to install overtop the old 6.3. This has worked in times past, but for some reason this time it has been giving me fits. The install acts as though it worked, but when I look at the software version under settings it still says V6.3.10.166. The amount of tweaking a customizing would take too long to start from a fresh install of SageTV 6.4.8. I am also running Java 1.6.0 v11, and SageMC STV 6.3.6b Any help would be appreciated. I have tried all I can to get the latest version installed.

To upgrade, you simply install the new version on top of the old version, making sure to install to the same folder where the previous version was installed.
If that didn't work, you can uninstall whatever version is currently installed & re-install the latest version, making sure to install to the same folder as before. Uninstalling doesn't remove the existing settings (properties files) or database (wiz.bin). - Andy
