Looks good. Now if we can just adjust the Information/Description and other objects on the screen opacity, it would make this feature perfect.

All of your movie titles have a space appended to the end. So it is looking for '300 .jpg' instead of '300.jpg', for instance.

silly question, but are these fanart images supposed to work on extenders? i cant do much testing as my server is recording shows right now, but i tried setting up according to the geektonic howto (centralized) and even tried the debug3 stv in this thread, and I get nothing. unfortunately i cant turn on debugging while im recording.

The space is not in the filename but in the metadata Title in your .properties file that you probably used the IMDB batch importer to create.
stuckless has already updated the importer to no longer append a space at hte end of the title.

Nevermind, its working now. I loaded up the Sage UI on the server (running service mode) and loaded the STV there, then setup the path and enabled it, and now its working on the extender! Awesome feature!!!!

Ok so when is the Fan Art to be displayed? Let me try and explain. If I go to a recorded show (TV -> recorded shows -> some show) fan art displays. If I browse the guide, find a show and select it to view info, no fan art. ACtually if I select a show's info screen from any place other than the recorded tv list, fan art will not show.

First, let me say that this is a great addition to the Sage interface. Thanks Mike et al for putting this together (and for the quick debug logging to help us figure out what's going on).
Secondly, I realize that I can alter tinting of the menu items Quote:
Thanks Matt PS I'll try playing with the color and shading too, so I might find a good solution for me with just these.

Fan Art stretched with 4:3 aspect ratio
I love the fan art, but all my TV's are the older 4:3 aspect ratio, while the jpgs in the FanArt Packs that people are posting are designed for 16:9 widescreen tvs. Unfortunately, it seems that SageMC stretches the image to fill the screen.
Is there any way to change this or could it be changed for a future version so that it respects the aspect ratio when it scales the images?

Display backgrounds in Media Folders?
I have my videos section set up like this:
VIDEOS> MOVIES> ---(MOVIETITLE) SERIES> ---(SERIESTITLE) -----(SEASON) SPECIALS TRAILERS XTRAS I'm sure this is pretty common. Is there a setting to display fanart backgrounds for each level? As it is, when i browse Burn Notice, I only get the burn notice fanart when I'm looking directly at the individual episode, not while I'm browsing seasons and such. Is that function outside the ability of SageMC or did i just miss where you set it? |
