Adding to Recordings

Is there a way to add video files to the SageTV Recordings? The use case is where I have a video podcast that is downloaded via a podcatcher program. I would then want this podcast to show up in my SageTV Recordings screen.

My assumption is that I would need to provide the metadata for the file (show name, episode name, description, etc.), which I can easily create from the podcast XML. The question would then be how can I get this information to into the SageTV Recordings database?

Looking at the .properties file this doesn't seem right as it appears to import into the videos section of Sage.

AFAIK anything other than TV recordings will show in the video section. You could create a filter to only show your podcasts and that will make it easier to find.

The webserver plugin has the ability to import airing metadata into the Sage DB from (properly formatted) XML. That should allow you to do what you want (although I haven't actually used this feature myself).
