How do I install latest beta on my WHS server?

I want to go from 6.4.8 to 6.5.3 beta on WHS.

Not sure how I am supposed to go about this. I put the 6.5.3 install file in the add-ins directory, the way you're supposed to install WHS software. It shows as an available application, but when I go to install it, I'm told I must stop SageTV first. But I've already stopped the service via the network console app, and I don't see anything "Sage" in task manager when I hit ctrl-alt-delete either.

I don't want to do a uninstall of the old one and then install the new one flat out because I think I'll lose all my settings and recorded program list within Sage.

You won't lose your settings. Stop Sage. Uninstall 6.4.8. The WHS console will quit. Restart and install 6.5.3. After the install you'll need to reset the service to log in as your user. Unless you are running it as a local system account.
