Importing DVDs - jacket folder seen as video

I ripped my DVDs to a hard drive and added the path into SageTV. The issue is that some of these DVDs had jacket folders with mp2 files in them. I guess it generally just contains cover art but with .mp2 extension. So when I look under Media Center/Videos/Folders my DVD is listed as a DVD and the jacket folder is shown separately as another video. I tried going into both sage.properties and sageclient.properties with everything turned off to delete mp2 from seeker/video_library_import_filename_extensions= but in both files, sage adds mp2 back to the end of that line. I know I could just delete the jacket folders but was hoping to see if there is a way just to stop sage from seing mp2 files as videos.

Just convert them to jpegs, there is on reason for the cover art to have a .mp2 extension.

Thanks. I have about a hundred DVDs with this issue and there are 3 files in each of these folders so I was hoping for a less labor intensive fix but if there's not a better solution, maybe that's what I'll need to do.
