Overlay/VMR/Default...
When I watch an HD show with the "Default" video renderer, my HD shows are full screen with no over/under scan, but when I bring up menus, they are slow and sometime then don't always "go away" when I hit exit (part of the menu stays on screen even though its "closed"). When I use Overlay, everything works fine except I get a tad bit of undersan on the bottom of my screen. I get a 2cm black horizontal bar (its barely noticeable). When I try VMR9, I get audio, but no video. All of this is using the ATI MPEG Decoder as my Video Decoder option. I have the latest ATI Catalyst Control Center installed.
I dont quite understand the difference between overlay and VMR9. Would I actually get any benefit from using VMR9 vs. Overlay? Thanks |
