Help me understand errors

I get java hang error sometimes and how do I find out what is causing them:

Also, I am getting autocompress which I didn't know I enabled but might be giving me the recent hang.

I'm using the 6.4.8 and SageMCE

That auto refresh stuff looks OK. That thread gets kicked off when you launch SageTV and checks every five minutes to see if there are files to auto compress or (in your case) if you've enabled it since the last time it checked and then goes to sleep for 5 minutes. I'd wager that its just coincidence that the hang comes after that log message.
