HD-PVR and m2ts

I have the HD-PVR running teh ver 1.1 driver. It seems to be running fine. I even have the 5.1 audio working great. My problem has been in working with the .ts files. Even though many buring, conversion and video editing packages support .ts files, the .ts files from the HD-PVR never work. I record many movies in HD and would like to burn then onto a DVD. Since they are in HD already I really don't want to burn them on a regular DVD. I have Nero 9, Ulead DVD Movie Factory, Corel Movie Producer, etc. All of these applications will burn Blue Ray DVDs. None of these applications will read the .ts file properly. I also have several conversion applications that also fail.

1) Does any one know of an application that will convert the .TS files to .m2ts?

2) The Hauppauge driver 1.1 is supposed to be able to record in .m2ts format. If I launct TME Capture the only available saved format option is TS file.

Can anyone offer a suggestion?

Installing the CoreAVC Professional Edition codec added the ability for me to convert the HD-PVR .ts files to m2ts files in TSmuxergui. From there I use MeGUI to convert them to just about anthing I want. MeGUI takes awhile to learn but the quality of the output is far superior to anything else I have used.

Nero 8 recode will not read the converted m2ts file on my system. Also I can use Nero Vision to edit both the ts and m2ts files. Same with Ulead Video Studio 11 and Pinnacle Studio 11. Not sure if I could do that before installing CoreAVC.
