Reserve a Tuner for Live TV

I have the HVR-2250 dual tuner. If I have two shows recording at the same time I am unable to watch live TV. Is it possible to reserve a tuner to be used only for live TV?

Not that I am aware of. Sage should allow you to cancel a recording though if you try to watch Live tv and there isn't an available tuner. An error will come up. If the recordings are both favorites, and that favorite comes on at a later date, Sage should record that later show.

That card is only going to allow you to record on any two of the tuners you have on that card at one time. So even if you could have reserved a tuner you would have only been able to record one program then. Get yourself another tuner card and avoid these issues.

Everything is recorded anyway, when watching live you are in reality watching a recording a couple of seconds behind whats really live. As mentioned by another HVR2250 and the problem will disappear.
