Problem with changing channels

I use a USBUIRT to change channels and habve the inter digit gap set to 2 seconds.

Sage starts recording as soon as it sends the first digit. this causes 6 seconds of the previous channel to be recorded at the start of the new recording.

This has led to some extremely explicit scenes from late night TV being recorded at the beginning of some childrens programs.

The new channel can not be tuned in until the last digit is sent so is there a way for Sage to delay the start of the new recording until it has sent the final digit?

Before you say its my fault these programs follow the normal program I was watching and as the tuner is not required for another channel it just stays on that channel before being switched to the new recording channel.

There is a new property in v6.4:

mmc/encoders/<some number>/delay_to_wait_after_tuning

Set it to the number of milliseconds to wait before starting to record. It is considered a bit experimental and SageTV cannot do anything else during this wait period, so the interface may appear to be locked during that time.
