Vista 64 migration Issue

I just reinstalled my OS from XP to Vista 64. I took a complete backup of my SageTV directory prior. After a reinstall of SageTV into Vista64, i copied the old sageTV backup into c:\program files (x86)\SageTV and modified the sagetv.properties file replacing "Program files" with "Program files (x86)".

All seems OK, but now when i browse recordings, nothing shows up. All my import directories are there in sagetv and they exist on disk. I did a refresh imported media but still nothing. Also, my favorites are gone too. This implies that the wiz.bin file is corrupt or something but it is not. Could it because
of the different install path?

You only needed to copy the wiz.bin back into your new installation. Of course you would have needed to finish your new configuration for your tuners and everything. But it doesn't take that long to configure Sage. You'll have better luck that way as you can see.

resolved

This was due to my inadvertently moving the sage.properties file to the wrong
directory. Once i noticed this and moved back, all is well again.

The SageTV developers did a excellent job with this software. It is Rock Solid and i've not had a single software issue since I've been using it. It is also very easy to move the application to different computers if needed.
